Hillgrove Resources (ASX:HGO) is an Australian copper producer based in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills, just 55km from the Adelaide CBD. Operating since 2005, Hillgrove transitioned from open-pit to underground copper production in 2024 and operates a well-capitalised 3-3.6Mtpa processing plant.

About the Role

Reporting to the Mill Production Superintendent, the Processing Supervisor is responsible for providing strong leadership and coordination of the processing team and ensuring optimal recovery of copper ore concentrate. You will play a critical role in driving safety performance, operational discipline, plant optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders including Processing, Maintenance, Metallurgy, Mobile Maintenance and Mining teams, as well as external specialist contractors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and promoting a strong safety culture through behaviour-based safety practices
• Ensuring compliance with safety systems, risk assessments and control measures
• Coordinating daily processing operations to meet production and quality targets
• Driving plant performance, availability and utilisation through collaboration with maintenance and metallurgy teams
• Investigating plant performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Managing team performance, training, development and leave coverage
• Communicating team objectives, KPIs and performance outcomes
• Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all shift and safety documentation

About you

You are a proactive, safety-focused leader with a strong background in mineral processing and supervisory experience in a mining environment. You bring a hands-on approach to leadership and are confident managing risk, driving safe work practices and achieving production targets.

You have proven experience in plant optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives, with the ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet operational timelines. You communicate effectively at all levels, build strong working relationships across departments and lead by example to promote a positive safety culture.

You are proficient in computer systems, with experience using safety and ERP platforms such as SkyTrust, SAP/Pronto or similar. You are organised, results-driven and committed to developing team capability through coaching, mentoring and training.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in processing
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Working at Heights & Confined Space or willing to obtain
• Senior First Aid or willing to obtain
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a mineral processing plant (copper or base metals preferred)
